Dexter Blanco
Welcome! My name’s Dexter Blanco, and I’m a passionate technologist, and I run a digital agency based here in San Diego, California. My mission is simple: helping local businesses get online, build a brand, and build better systems while empowering others to kickstart and advance their careers in information technology.
When I first started my journey into the IT industry, it wasn’t easy. Finding the right information to break into the field was a real struggle. It took a lot of self-study, betting on myself, and staying committed before I finally landed my first role.
Over time, through continued learning, mentorship, great leadership, and hands-on experience in my home lab and at work, I unlocked opportunities that I never thought possible.
Throughout my IT career, I’ve had roles as a network cable technician, computer hardware tech, IT support, and an infrastructure systems administrator. Each of these roles taught me valuable lessons about the industry.
Drawing on those experiences, I started my first business. What began at the end of 2020 as a small side project to explore my own ideas about tech outside of work eventually grew into something bigger than I initially thought. As our clients’ needs have evolved over the years, we have needed to grow and develop with them. When starting, I was just building and hosting simple websites.
I’m proud to say, at this point, we’ve helped over a dozen local businesses get online, start and strengthen their brands, and build new systems to help them better manage and run their operations.
In late 2022, I set out a few goals for myself that would require me to take things more seriously in the digital agency. One main goal was to create more freedom of time and flexibility in my life so I could be more present in my daughter’s life. Doing what felt like leaving a successful career, really my dream job at the time, behind that I had worked so hard to build was one of the hardest things I’ve done in my life, but it was what needed to be done at the time to achieve that goal ultimately.
